Abstract
Holding short-term training courses as one of the efficient methods in knowledge development and empowerment is held in both in-person and virtual forms. Virtual courses have been held in many educational and research institutions since the coronavirus pandemic. Evaluating the effectiveness of these courses by focusing on the form of their holding is one of the basic questions, the answer to which can help institutions better fulfill this mission. The main goal of this research is to provide a desirable portfolio for training courses for the post-corona era, and for this purpose, it is necessary to determine the organization's goals for holding courses. For this purpose, after studying library resources, the goals that similar organizations pursue in holding training courses and their evaluation criteria were identified and discussed in a focus group consisting of IranDoc educational managers and experts in this field. Finally, six main goals and their evaluation criteria were determined, and using the multi-criteria decision-making method, the importance and weight of each goal and the indicators affecting the efficiency of each goal were determined. For a more detailed analysis, the courses were categorized and analyzed into six different subject areas. The final results showed that for some objectives, in-person courses and for others, virtual courses had better results, but overall, virtual courses had better outcomes.
